Scenic local train between Mariánské Lázně and Karlovy Vary

The local line between Mariánské Lázně (German name: Marienbad) and Karlovy Vary (German name: Karlsbad) is not only slow and nostalgic, but scenic and fantastic...

I got on the train from local station just next to Mariánské Lázně main station

At Mariánské Lázně-město‎ station

One of the best season for visiting here is spring. In case of summer, it sometimes will be hot.

Mariánské Lázně, Thermal Spring Colonnade

Girls attracted VE-day (Mariánské Lázně)

Not only landscape, but also you might see Bohemian beauties...

From the train window, you can see different scenic local landscapes.

Deer are playing in the farm near Mariánské Lázně

There are a lot of lakes and small ponds near Mariánské Lázně

Suddenly, Mist covered around the train; therefore, I could saw fantastic scenery.

The train run into misty landscape during lovely sunset going in the sky...

Foggy station ( Mariánské Lázně)

I was standing in front of the window of the train and seeing foggy evening twilight like a child, who got on the train at the first time. Because it was so amazing....

Night fell, full-moon welcomed passengers in the local station.

Mariánské Lázně main station

Inside the station

Mariánské Lázně main station was just refurbished, then, it is quite beautiful building.

Platform of Mariánské Lázně main station

From morning, you can go to Karlovy Vary from Mariánské Lázně.

Small station without platform

Karlovy Vary station

In Karlovy Vary, there are two stations... One is located on the edge of old-town.

Type 810 is a popular rail-car in both Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The station was communism style building, so boring...

Type 810 and 813

Hot springs in the centre of old town

It is the biggest geyser in the town.

Sometimes Diesel Locomotive pulls trailers.

It was scenery again!

I highly recommend to get on the train in the different time (morning / sunset) and weather.

And  All-day ticket (Celodenni jizdenka) of CD  is worth to make a day trip for there from Prague or other cities.
